ProView 1.3 is almost certainly the world's easiest multi-media authoring tool. Presentations can be created in minutes - just drag and drop pictures. movies and text onto pages, then add more pages and link them together using "hotspots". ProView is designed for easy use while maximising the user's creative freedom - you just drag the elements around to fit the design, no scripting required. Normally, when the project is complete, it can be transformed into a "ProViewer", a single stand-alone application that can be freely distributed and viewed on any Mac. The demonstration version on the cover disk is fully working, except that it will not produce a ProViewer. ProView 2.0 will go on sale this month at £169 plus VAT, adding a raft of new features, in particular the ability to create ProViewers for Windows as well as Mac machines. Registered ProView 1.3 users can upgrade to ProView 2.0 for £99, plus VAT. As a special offer, distributors CONTACT ES are offering Macworld readers the last few full copies of ProView 1.3 at £49 plus VAT, instead of the normal £99 plus VAT, while stocks last. So, you can try ProView 1.3 for £49, plus VAT, and see if you like it, then upgrade to ProView 2.0 for £99, plus VAT - saving yourself at least £21. Of course, any projects you have created in ProView 1.3 can be transferred to ProView 2.0.
